Epic East Coast Mazda Meet

With about 14 days until the start of the 5th Annual EECMM (Epic East Coast Mazda Meet), I thought I would take a few moments to talk about some of the sponsors at this years event, as well as a few of the events that are planned.

Let’s start off with a brief history of EECMM. In the fall of 2007 in Harper’s Ferry, West Virginia, became the birth of an annual event that has become a Mazda Meet of Epic proportion. Originally starting off as a Mazda3Forum get together from Oct. 5th – 7th, EECMM has turned into an annual meet for Mazda enthusiasts on a massive scale. EECMM in 2008 brought us to Myrtle Beach, S.C., in 2009 we rode the infamous Tail of the Dragon near Robbinsville, N.C., and in 2010 we went to Gatlinburg, T.N. and now for the special 5th year anniversary we are sharpening up our tunes, and tightening those lug nuts because we’re heading back to Robbinsville, N.C. to take on the Tail of the Dragon once more!

Sponsors from all over the world have participated and each year we have new and returning sponsors that join into the fun and massive meet participation. Lets not forget the attendees! Some of the members have drove in upwards of 22 hours just to attend, with up to 18 different states and counting!

Now with the 5th annual event about two weeks away, lets look at some of the great sponsors this year. Blackmamba Motorsports, CorkSport, GP-Werks, Parts for my Mazda, Redline Accessories, and SpeedCircuit. It is a great honor to have them as our sponsors this year, and this is not all of them! We will have special guests MazdaMovement showing up this year as well!

Now let’s talk about the events planned for this year! Most of it starts around 3pm Wednesday, October 26th. Start gathering supplies, and settle into the MANSION! Then around 5pm I’m sure the fun will begin in the hot tub with a cold adult beverage (For those of you old enough of course).

Thursday morning around 8am there will be a pre cruise breakfast, some will eat at the mansion, while others will meet up at their favorite eatery locations. At 10am the grouping will start to see who will go where on which cruise. Some will take the cruise to the infamous Tail of the Dragon and enjoy the 318 curves that twist, lean, and switchback in a short 11 mile span. Others will enjoy the more relaxed scenic views of the Cheohala Skyway. Starting around 6pm comes more adult beverages (for those allowed of course) followed by dinner and shenanigans!

Friday morning starts off with the events at 11am to prepare for the Fontana Dam cruise and Hellbender 28 cruise; relaxed curves, and more beautiful scenic driving. 6pm to 9pm will be a Meet and Greet at the Mansion followed by more crazy shenanigans!

Now Saturday is going to be a super busy day for everyone! Starting at 7am breakfast will begin and for those who are staying at the Mansion, FREE PANCAKES! So starting at 7am you will probably eat breakfast, install any mods and wash/detail your car.

- At 12noon the car show begins! Address is 80 Knight Street, Robbinsville, NC. You will want to show up a bit early, register your name/car and make sure you get your RAFFLE TICKETS! From 1pm to 1:30pm voting will take place, First place through Fifth place will be announced from 2pm until 2:30pm (Trophies provided by Carolina Mazdas). Following the Car show, comes the Raffle and Door prizes (provided by our awesome list of sponsors!), which will last until about 3pm.

- After all the winners take their photos and door prizes are passed out to the respected winners, we will begin prepping for the EECMM Dragon run. Unless of course you are not going with the group. This will be your free time or more time to install more mods if you need too.

- From 7pm until at least 12midnight will be the HALLOWEEN BBQ at the Mansion! Address is 559 Atoah Rd. Robbinsville, NC. There will be lots of adult drinks, party games, and tons of shenanigans! Make sure you are registered for this event.

Finally we come to Sunday when most events will start around 7 or 8am when we all have breakfast and start the packing up. Around 10am will be the time we all start meeting up for the final caravan home. Sadly we must all part ways, until next year!

With about two weeks to go until this massive event kicks off, many of us are installing mods now, tuning the cars, pre-wash/detailing them, new tires, oil changes and more. I personally am eagerly awaiting the time until it has started. With an estimated 75-100 cars to show up and around 100-130 people to show up this year, the 5th Annual Epic East Coast Mazda Meet will definitely be an event not to miss!

Special Thanks to all of our Sponsors, Carolina Mazdas will be our point personnel and will direct this portion of the meet at the Tail of the Dragon (Thank you guys!).

I spoke with Heath Patterson today (Owner and CEO of MazdaMovement), and he was telling me of some of the new features coming to the all new MazdaMovement 2.0 website. While, I, can’t unveil any secrets just yet about the upcoming new design, I will say, that it’s going to be an awesome update. I for one, am excited.

Be sure to check out Sure Motorsports, Street Unit and MazdaMovement at the upcoming BCSAC (Broward College Seahawks Automotive Club) Car Show & Drift Events on Sept. 24th.  The location will be at the “Count Line Drag Way” in Miami, FL.

New Client!

Mr. Royce Bowles, President and Owner of Earthtone Designs has chosen CL|Studios to design and build the company website. After sitting down with Mr. Bowles today in a meeting and seeing some of the work created by the company, I must say, Landscape design is very similar to Web Design.

Check out the company’s new website (still under construction), here : www.Earthtone-Designs.com and if you ever need any new yard design, be sure to check them out!
